Team members & roles
Goal: add teammates to your company account and understand what an Admin can do that a User can't.
Prerequisites
- You must be signed in as an admin — the Team Members sidebar link only appears for admins (regular users don't see it at all, and the page itself requires admin access).
Adding a team member
- From the sidebar, go to Team Members.
- Click Add User in the top-right corner.
- Fill in First Name, Last Name, and Email (all required).
- Choose a Role: User or Admin.
- Optionally upload a Profile Picture.
- Click Add User.
The new teammate is emailed a welcome message with the login link, their email address, and a temporary password. The first time they sign in, FrameCourier sends them to a Choose a password screen and won't let them into the admin area until they've set their own (it has to be different from the temporary one, and meet the usual strength rule — at least 8 characters with a letter and a number). This applies only to admin-invited team members; people who signed your company up themselves aren't prompted.
Admin vs. User
Every company user sees the core navigation — Dashboard, Clients, Photos, Videos, Releases, and Queue — and can create galleries, upload media, and manage clients. Only users with the Admin role additionally see and can access:
- Team Members — this page, for adding, editing, and removing other company users.
- Tools — administrative utilities.
- Settings — branding, client portal address, photo metadata, and licence/marketing files.
Billing & Plan (reachable from the account menu in the topbar) also requires the admin role. Disk Usage is accessible by any company user.
Editing or removing a team member
- On the Team Members list, click the pencil icon on a user's row to edit their name, email, role, or profile picture.
- Click the trash icon to delete a user. You'll be asked to confirm — deleting is immediate and cannot be undone.
Editing your own profile
Every team member — admin or user — can manage their own details without going through an admin. Open the account menu → Profile in the topbar to reach My Profile, where you can:
- Update your first name, last name, and email (the new email must not already belong to another user on your company).
- Upload or replace your profile picture (JPEG, PNG, GIF, or WebP, under 2 MB). Your name and avatar in the topbar update right away, no re-login needed.
- Change your password — enter your current password, then the new one twice. The new password must meet the same strength rule as signup (at least 8 characters with a letter and a number).
