Create & assign tasks

Goal: create a task, set its priority and due date, and assign it to a team member.

Creating a task

From Tasks in your sidebar, click New Task. Give it a title and, optionally, a description, a client, a project, an assignee, a priority, and a due date.

Picking a project fills in its client automatically — a project task always belongs to the project's own client, the same way galleries and video collections do.

Priority

Four levels: Low, Medium, High, Urgent. Medium is the default.

Due dates

Every due date is shown two ways: the literal date and a relative clause, e.g. "Aug 27, 2026 (Due in 3 days)" or "Aug 20, 2026 (Overdue by 4 days)". A closed task shows only the literal date — it's no longer "overdue."

Team members with a task due soon get an automatic reminder email at 3 days out, 1 day out, and once overdue.

Assigning a team member

Pick anyone on your team from the Assignee dropdown. They get an email when assigned, and again if the task's status changes (as long as they weren't the one who changed it). A task can also be left unassigned.

Editing everything

Anyone on your team can open a task and change any of its fields — title, description, client, project, priority, due date, status, assignee, and client visibility — at any time.
