Ask Milo (project chat)

Goal: chat with Milo, FrameCourier's AI assistant, about a specific project — ask what's included, what's changed recently, or what's still outstanding, without digging through every tab yourself.

About Milo: Milo is the multipurpose AI assistant built by WeDoVids, LLC. Ask Milo is one of many places Milo powers the platform — for the full picture of what Milo can do, see milo.wedovids.com.

Prerequisites

  • Projects must be enabled — see What are Projects.
  • AI features must be enabled on your account by the operator running your FrameCourier instance. If AI isn't enabled, the widget simply doesn't appear.

Opening Ask Milo

A round Ask Milo button sits in the bottom-right corner of the project page. It's available on every tab — Overview, Photos, Videos, Releases, Files, Updates, Discuss, Activity — so you never have to leave what you're looking at to ask a question. Click it to open the chat panel; click it again (or the × in the panel) to close it.

How it works

Milo answers using only the project's own content — its brief, linked galleries and video collections, files, updates, and Discuss thread. Team members and clients see different amounts of that content, matching exactly what each of them can already see elsewhere on the project page:

  • Your team (admin side) — Milo can see everything, including draft (unpublished) galleries and collections and linked model releases.
  • Your client (client side) — Milo only sees what the client's own project page shows them: published galleries and collections, files, the updates they're allowed to see, and the Discuss thread. It never mentions drafts or model releases to a client, the same boundary described in AI overview & daily digest for the overview and digest cards.

Milo will say so honestly if a question can't be answered from what it can see, rather than guessing.

Responses stream in as Milo generates them, and are rendered as formatted text (headings, lists, code, links) rather than plain text.

Reading long answers

For a longer answer, click the expand icon in the panel's header to maximize the chat to full screen; click it again (the icon becomes a compress icon) to shrink it back down. This works the same way on every Ask Milo popup across FrameCourier, including Ask Milo on a video.

Using Ask Milo

  1. Open the project's page (admin or client portal).
  2. Click the Ask Milo button in the bottom-right corner, on any tab.
  3. Type a question — e.g. "What's still outstanding on this project?" or "Summarize what's happened this week." — and press Enter to send (Shift+Enter for a new line).
  4. Continue the conversation; earlier turns are sent back as context so follow-up questions work naturally.
The conversation isn't saved — it resets when you leave or reload the page.
