Publish & client access
Goal: make a gallery visible to your client (or take it back offline) once it's ready.
Prerequisites
- A gallery with at least some uploaded photos — see Upload photos.
- If the gallery is assigned to a client, that client needs a client-user login (or a shortlink) to actually view it once published — publishing alone doesn't send them anything unless they already have portal access.
Every new gallery starts as a Draft. While a gallery is a draft, a banner across the top of its page reminds you: "This gallery is not published — clients cannot see it yet."
- Open the gallery and click Publish near the top of the page (it shows an eye icon and toggles to Unpublish once live).
- The gallery's badge switches from Draft to Published immediately.
- If the gallery belongs to a client, publishing it notifies that client's active client-user accounts that the gallery is ready for review.
You can also publish or unpublish directly from the Photos list using the eye icon in each row's action buttons — handy when you don't need to open the gallery itself.
The same toggle is mirrored on the gallery's Options tab, alongside the
right-click and download controls covered in Right-click & downloads.
Unpublishing takes a gallery offline but keeps every photo and setting intact — you can
publish it again at any time with nothing lost.
While a gallery is live, your clients also see any cover hero
image and welcome message you've set for it, shown at the top of the gallery above the photos.
Previewing before you publish
Click Preview on the gallery page to see it rendered the way a viewer would, in a mosaic layout with the lightbox and (if enabled) per-photo download buttons — useful for a final check before you publish, or any time after.
