AI overview & daily digest

Goal: understand the two AI-written summaries a project can show — the on-demand overview and the recurring digest — and what has to be turned on for either to appear.

Prerequisites

  • AI features must be enabled on your account by the operator running your FrameCourier instance. If AI isn't enabled, the overview and digest sections simply don't appear on the project page.
  • Projects must be enabled — see What are Projects.

Update from Milo

The overview is a short written summary of what the project is and where it currently stands, built from the project's linked galleries, collections, releases, its update feed, and its Project Brief if one is set — see Create & assign projects. Adding a brief gives Milo real context to work from instead of just inferring the job from activity, and it's enough on its own to generate a first overview even before anything else is linked. It appears in a card near the top of the project's page.

  1. Open the project's page.
  2. A new project queues its first overview automatically; once it's ready, it appears in the Update from Milo card.
  3. Click Regenerate any time — after adding galleries, posting updates, or changing status — to bring the summary up to date.

While a summary is being written, the card shows a "Generating…" message; refresh the page in a moment to see the result. If generation fails, the card explains why instead of showing stale text.

Daily Digest

The digest is a recap of the last 24 hours on the project, refreshed automatically every few hours — you don't click anything to request it. It only generates for projects that are active and had some activity in that window (an update, a comment, or a client viewing/downloading something on the project); quiet or non-active projects are skipped on that run, so there's no stale filler text.

The digest appears in its own card on the project page, below the Update from Milo card, once one exists.

What the client sees

Nothing — both summaries are for your team only. They are written from the project's full internal record, which can name model releases and items you haven't published yet, so neither card appears on the client's project page. Clients still see the project's published galleries and collections, its files, and the updates and comments feed.

This applies only to the overview and digest cards. Clients do get their own Ask Milo chat widget on the project page — it's just grounded in a narrower, published-only view of the project. See Ask Milo (project chat).
The Project Brief is different — it's your own written text, not generated from internal data, so it is shown on the client's Overview tab too. See Create & assign projects.
