Client users & invites

Goal: invite a contact at your client to their own login, so they can sign in and view their published galleries and video collections.

Prerequisites

  • The client must already exist — see Add, edit & delete clients.
  • You'll need the contact's first name, last name, and email address.

Inviting a client user

  1. From the sidebar, go to Clients, then click the Users count to open that client's user list.
  2. Click Invite User in the top-right corner.
  3. Fill in the contact's First Name, Last Name, and Email (all required).
  4. Click Send Invite.

FrameCourier emails the contact an invitation with a link to /client/register.php?token=…, unique to them and scoped to that one client. Following the link lets them set their own password and finish creating their account. The link expires in 14 days; until they use it, the user shows a pending status in the client's user list.

Client invite flow Invite name + email Email sent link expires in 14 days Registers sets their own password Active sees their own deliverables
Inviting a client user emails them a 14-day registration link; once they set a password their status changes from pending to active.
If the invite email doesn't arrive, open the pending user's row and use the Resend invite button (paper-plane icon) — this issues a fresh 14-day link and re-sends the email. There's also a Copy invite link button (chain-link icon) you can use to hand the same link to the client another way, for example if their mail server is blocking the message.
Each email address can only be invited once per company — inviting an email that's already a client user (for that company, active or pending) is rejected. If the invite link expires before the contact uses it, resend the invite rather than asking them to reuse the old link.

What a client user can access

A client user only ever sees the galleries and video collections belonging to their own client, and only once those items are published. They can't see another client's content, company-owned content, or anything still in draft. See Company vs client content for how that ownership boundary works, and What clients see for a tour of the client portal itself.

Managing existing client users

  • Edit a user's name, email, or profile picture with the pencil icon on their row.
  • Remove a user with the trash icon — this is immediate and can't be undone.
  • The full client users list (reachable from the dashboard or by navigating directly) lists every client user across all of your clients in one searchable table.
