HEIC / HEIF (iPhone photos)
Apple's HEIC/HEIF format is accepted directly — no need to switch your iPhone to "Most Compatible" mode before uploading. Like RAW and PSD files, the original is kept for download and a JPEG preview is generated automatically for on-screen viewing, thumbnails, and watermarking.
RAW formats
"RAW" covers a range of camera manufacturer formats, all routed through the same raw_extract
queue job to produce a web-viewable preview. Commonly accepted extensions include:
- Canon — cr2, cr3, crw
- Nikon — nef, nrw
- Sony — arw, sr2, srf
- Adobe / DJI / others — dng
- Fujifilm — raf
- Olympus — orf
- Panasonic — rw2
- Pentax — pef
- Samsung — srw
- Leica / generic — raw, rwl
- Kodak — dcr, kdc
- Sigma — x3f
- Hasselblad — 3fr, fff
- Phase One — iiq
Photoshop documents (psd, psb) are also accepted and go through the same preview-extraction step as RAW files.
Videos, audio & subtitles
| Category | Accepted formats | Max size |
|---|---|---|
| Videos | MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, WEBM | 2 GB each (or server-configured limit) |
| Audio | MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC | 2 GB each (or server-configured limit) |
| Subtitles | SRT | 5 MB each |
.hevc, .h265,
.265) are also accepted — uncommon outside specialized encoding pipelines, since cameras and
editing software normally deliver HEVC inside an MP4 or MOV container already. Either way, any HEVC/H.265
video (containerized or raw) is automatically re-encoded to H.264/AAC in the background so it plays
reliably in every browser.
SRT subtitle files are automatically matched to a video by filename when uploaded to the same collection — see Upload videos for how the pairing works.
