Right-click & downloads
Goal: control whether viewers can right-click photos or download them, on a per-gallery basis.
Prerequisites
- A gallery to configure — these settings live on each gallery individually, so they don't apply account-wide.
- Open the gallery and go to its Options tab.
- Toggle Disable right-click on photos to discourage viewers from saving images via the browser's context menu.
- Toggle Disable downloads to hide the download controls on the public gallery entirely.
- Each toggle saves immediately — there's no separate save button, and a small status message confirms once it's saved.
Both settings are per-gallery. If you want the same behavior everywhere, you'll need to set it
on each gallery — there's no company-wide default.
Disabling right-click is a light deterrent, not real protection — it only blocks the
browser context menu and doesn't stop screenshots, browser dev tools, or other ways of copying an
image. Use it alongside, not instead of, a watermark if you need
stronger protection against unauthorized reuse.
What clients see
When downloads are disabled, the download button simply doesn't render next to each photo in the gallery view. When right-click is disabled, the browser's context menu is suppressed over photo thumbnails. Neither setting affects the company's own access in the admin area — you can always download your own photos from within Photos → [gallery] → Download All.
