Watermarks

Goal: overlay your logo onto a gallery's photos, positioned and sized the way you want.

Prerequisites

  • A PNG image of your logo or mark. Other formats (even a .jpg renamed to .png) are rejected — the file is checked by its actual contents, not its extension.
  • Watermarks are set per gallery, not company-wide, so you'll configure this once per gallery that needs it.
  1. Open the gallery and go to its Watermark tab.
  2. Choose a PNG under Watermark image.
  3. Pick a Position: bottom-right (the default), bottom-left, top-right, top-left, or center.
  4. Set Size % — the watermark is scaled relative to the photo's own width, so the same percentage looks consistent across photos of different resolutions. Default is 20%.
  5. Set Opacity % (default 60%) and Margin % (default 3%, ignored for the center position) to taste.
  6. Click Save Watermark.
Saving doesn't watermark anything instantly — it queues a background job per photo, the same process queue described in How thumbnails are built. Give it a minute (or check Queue) for the watermark to actually appear on existing photos.

Once a watermark is active, newly uploaded photos are watermarked automatically as part of their normal processing — you don't need to re-save anything for new uploads.

Changing or removing a watermark

Uploading a new PNG or changing position/size/opacity/margin and saving again re-queues the watermark job for every photo in the gallery, so the change is applied consistently across the whole set. Check Remove watermark and save to take the watermark off entirely — this also cleans up the previously generated watermarked files.

The original, un-watermarked photo is always kept on disk. Removing or changing a watermark never destroys your source files.
