Photo proofing
Goal: see which photos your client starred as favorites, read their comments, and reply to them without leaving the admin dashboard.
Prerequisites
- A published gallery your client has actually viewed — proofing has nothing to show until a client stars at least one photo.
- Clients star photos and leave comments from their own gallery view; there's no separate action needed on your end to "turn on" proofing.
- Open the gallery and go to its Proofing tab.
- A badge on the tab shows how many photos currently have at least one star, so you can tell at a glance whether there's anything to review.
- The tab displays only the starred photos, each showing its heart count and comment count.
- Click a photo to open the proofing panel on the right. It shows how many clients starred it and lists every comment left on it.
- Type a reply in the box at the bottom of the panel and click Send to respond as the studio — your reply is labeled Studio so it's clear it isn't the client.
You can delete any comment (yours or the client's) from the panel using the trash icon next to it.
If no photos have been starred yet, the Proofing tab simply says so — clients star photos
from the gallery view itself, the same place they'd download or browse them.
