Delete a gallery

Goal: permanently remove a photo gallery — and optionally just a single photo — and reclaim the storage it was using.

Every delete here is permanent. There is no trash or undo — once a gallery or photo is removed, its files and database records are gone for good.

Delete a whole gallery

This removes the gallery and every photo inside it (originals, thumbnails, and watermarked copies). Any storage the gallery used is immediately freed against your plan's quota, and any client shortlinks for the gallery stop working (they return a 404).

  1. From the sidebar go to Photos to open the Photo Galleries list (table) view.
  2. In the gallery's row, click the trash button. Note: this button only appears on the list view — it is not shown when you open a gallery. Alternatively, open the gallery and click Delete Gallery under the Edit tab.
  3. A Delete Gallery confirmation modal appears. It warns that the gallery and all its photos will be permanently removed and cannot be undone.
  4. Type DELETE into the box to enable the Delete Gallery button.
  5. Click Delete Gallery to confirm.
Because deletion is irreversible, the button stays disabled until you type the word DELETE exactly. This is a deliberate safeguard against accidental clicks.

Remove a single photo

You don't have to delete the whole gallery to get rid of one bad shot. Individual photos can be removed on their own; the gallery and every other photo stay put.

  1. Open the gallery and switch to its photos grid.
  2. Hover the photo you want to remove and click the small button in its top-right corner.
  3. Confirm the browser prompt: "Delete this photo? This cannot be undone."

The photo's original and thumbnail files are deleted from storage and its database record is removed. If the photo you deleted was the gallery's cover image, a new cover is picked at random from the photos that remain.
